The cartilage of the nose is secured by three main muscles, the ‘pull’ of which can affect the profile and shape of the nose, especially the flexible nasal tip. One of those muscles (the septi nasi) connects the upper jaw to the nose, and tension in that muscle can pull the nasal tip downwards, giving it a droopy appearance.

Anti-wrinkle injections for a droopy nasal tip are a simple, quick, and effective treatment. After consultation, we’ll place 1-3 small injections in the septi nasi muscle, relaxing its pull and lifting the tip of your nose. Over time and through repeated treatments, your muscle will be ‘retrained’, exerting less pressure, which means treatments can become less frequent over time.

  • First we’ll assess your face and nose, taking into account your medical history to understand the most appropriate dose for the results you want to achieve. 1-3 injections will be carefully placed, taking less than 10 minutes, after which many clients get straight on with their day.

  • Some clients experience a little discomfort, especially if nervous around needles, but Botox injections are a non-surgical treatment and the procedure is largely pain-free.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections have been used safely across the world for decades. Advancements in research and application mean that they are now used medically to help with teeth grinding and excessive underarm sweating.

    Botox is not advised for pregnant or nursing women, or for clients with muscle or nerve conditions that might not interact well with anti-wrinkle injections.

  • As with most Botox injections, the procedure is extremely low risk. A small proportion of clients might experience headaches, and though bruising is more common, it tends to fade within days.

  • Don’t apply makeup for at least 4 hours, avoid heavy exercise, and stay away from sunbeds, saunas, and other intense heat sources until healing is complete. Lastly, don’t lie down for 4 hours.

  • The effects of the injections should start to be visible after 2-8 days, but it will take 3-4 weeks for the full results to be seen. Movement will gradually begin to return to your nose over several months, which is why a repeat treatment is often advisable after 3-4 months.
