Lip Filler

Not everyone is blessed with full, shapely lips. We don’t get to choose our genes but thanks to the advancement of modern cosmetic treatments, such as lip fillers at our aesthetic clinic in Clapham Common, these days our clients can have the lips they want.

Restore Volume with lip Fillers

As we age, our bodies produce less of the hyaluronic acid that’s essential for volume. Lips can lose their plumpness and become visibly thinner. At Medi Aesthetics in Clapham, we provide lip-fillers to help restore lost volume, giving shape and definition for lasting results.

  • RESTORE VOLUME AND SHAPE
  • DEFINE THE BORDER OF YOUR LIPS
  • ACHIEVE GREATER FACIAL SYMMETRY
  • REDUCE A ‘GUMMY’ SMILE
  • SMILE WITH CONFIDENCE

Our fillers have been developed specifically for the lips and fine lines which can form in the surrounding skin. Our fillers plump the lips and smooth out fine lines, enhancing contour and redefining the outline of the lips.

  • As we age, the production of hyaluronic acid slows considerably. Lip fillers replenish the hyaluronic acid in your lips, replacing lost volume and boosting definition using a common treatment known as a dermal filler.

  • At Medi Aesthetics in Clapham, we use a topical numbing cream or a dental block anaesthetic for lip procedures, so the treatment is pain-free. The fillers themselves also contain a small dose of anaesthetic.

  • The injections are only minimally invasive, and although there might be some swelling and redness initially, it should subside soon after the treatment. Some people finish the treatment and get straight on with their day. If there’s any minor bruising and swelling, this can be masked by concealer until it resolves.

  • Because hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, allergic reactions are very rare. As a result, lip fillers are considered an extremely safe treatment.

  • At our Clapham skin clinic, treatments can take up to an hour, to allow time for a consultation as well as the injections themselves.

  • Though it varies from client to client, they can last between 12 and 15 months.

    • Avoid touching the treated area
    • Don’t apply make-up for the first 12 hours after getting lip fillers
    • Avoid exposure to heat
  • Yes, lip fillers can be dissolved by breaking down hyaluronic acid. The dissolving can take anywhere from a few days to a week.
